Bakersfield, CA (April 4, 2024)—The Lamont Boys & Girls Club will host an Earth Day Fair on Monday, April 22, 2024, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. to celebrate environmental awareness and promote sustainable practices. Activities for the community will include seed planting in the Club’s Learning Garden, recycling and air sampling demonstrations, games, and activities. Food and drinks will be provided.
One of the highlights of the Earth Day Fair is the community screening of “The Air We Breathe.” This locally produced short film is a testament to the Lamont Club Teen Program’s advocacy efforts for air quality improvement. Attendees are invited to be part of the post-screening Q&A panel, where you can share your thoughts and insights. This activity is supported in part by the California Arts Council, a state agency, and Kern Dance Alliance, a nonprofit corporation. Learn more at kdacreativecorps.org.
