SUMMARY:"Visibility Self Reflections" Film Premiere Parade and Processional 
DESCRIPTION:The week-long event takes over Bakersfield for the premiere of 5 new films with Bakersfield residents and California guest artists produced by Dance Camera West as part of the KDA Creative Corps. The project is under the DCW Visibility umbrella program\, which seeks to add diversity to the art form by funding filmmakers and dancers from low HPI communities\, and encompassing BIPOC\, LGBTQ\, Women\, and other underrepresented people.\n\nThe first day of the event will feature a parade of video display trucks with film clips accompanied by a 20+ person choir of Bakersfield community members\, creating a dance and music processional moving through the streets and inviting audience members to join. Throughout the week the films will be screened in several businesses along 18th Street in downtown Bakersfield including the Diversity Center\,  galleries\, and other venues.\n\nThe event closes with another processional and screenings at the EarthDay661 Festival in Yokuts park\, along the Kern River waterfront. That day also features vendor booths\, events for families and live music\, along with other pop ups.
